Kaka - No Ronaldo rivalry

July 1st, 2009 admin Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

Kaka insists there will be ‘no rivalry’ with Cristiano Ronaldo after the Brazilian was presented as a Real Madrid player.

Real have spent a reported £56million to sign the playmaker from AC Milan and he was paraded in front of a 50,000 strong crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday evening.

He was returning president Florentino Perez’s first signing and will be followed to the Spanish capital by Ronaldo, whose £80million switch from Manchester United will eclipse the world record fee briefly held by Kaka.

And, rather than worrying about competing for the limelight with Ronaldo, Kaka is looking forward to playing alongside the Portuguese winger.

Privilege

“There will be no rivalry with Cristiano,” said Kaka at his presentation. “We are compatible and there will be no problem between us either on or off the pitch.

“It’s a great privilege to be able to play with great players, not only with Cristiano Ronaldo, but also with Raul, (Iker) Casillas and Guti.”

Kaka has agreed a six-year contract with Real and is determined to follow in the footsteps of the club’s legendary stars.

He added: “Today is a very, very special day for me. I am very happy with this new stage in my footballing career.

“What I wish for is to sign my name across the history of this club, this club that has conquered and won so much.”

AC Milan general manager Adriano Galliani has hinted the club could target Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor this summer

The Italian giants are keen to replace Brazilian star Kaka, who signed for Real Madrid in early June. Milan have made Wolfsburg frontman Edin Dzeko their No.1 target but the Bundesliga champions remain keen to keep the Bosnian. Should Milan fail to land Dzeko, the club could turn to Adebayor or Sevilla’s Luis Fabiano. Galliani said: “We are only looking for a striker and the objective is Dzeko. If we don’t succeed, Fabiano could be an alternative, as could Emmanuel Adebayor

Michael Essien’s agent claims the Chelsea midfielder would be willing to consider a summer switch.

Fabian Piveteau claims there are clubs interested in luring the Ghana international away from Stamford Bridge and has refused to rule out the possibility of an approach proving successful.

Essien is happy to remain with the Blues, and has given no suggestion that he is harbouring hopes of a move, but it appears that he would be prepared to listen to offers should an interesting proposition present itself.

Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid would be difficult to turn down, and are prepared to spend big, and Piveteau admits a transfer to Spain could be a possibility.

“Some clubs are interested in Michael,” he said.

“He likes Chelsea very much, but football is football and if Real Madrid, Barcelona or some other club make an offer he needs to sit down and discuss what is best for him.”

“Change your ways or else” Peter Hill-wood

June 22nd, 2009 admin Posted in English Premier League | No Comments »

Arsenal manager Arsene Wengere has been informed by the board that changes will be made if the goods don’t start arriving. Club chairman Peter Hill-wood had a word with the gaffer after rumers of star man Robin Van Persie threatened to leave the club for fame, money and awards. ” It is not just good enough to play beautiful football, Real, Barcelona, and Manchester united all play very good football, the only difference is that they play to win. We have lost our winning ways and we must get it back or else we must make some changes.

Now i am no pointing the finger on just the coach because we all have parts to play in the success of the club but the saying goes that if the ship is not sailing the correct way then we must ask questions to the captain.” Hill-wood. when asked about his views of the matter, we might not be winning now but lets all not forget how long it took Man United to start winning the hardware. I understand that Cesc, Robin are senior players in the league now but they are still learning and only time will tell what we do as a unit. If the Club feels that i am not the man to carry on then so be it.
